Beautiful place to stop and view the Prairie lands of Kansas. We took the bus tour, the drivers name was Jeff, it took about and hour and 15 minutes. We saw bison but they were too far to capture a great photo. There are lots of trails to venture on and it got a little hot in the sun. Other than that it was amazing and loved the views.
If you are planning to take a guided tour out to the plains on their air-conditioned bus call ahead or go to their website for times you can always bring your bike or hiking shoes along with plenty of water because it's a really BIG BEAUTIFUL place, don't forget to bring your camera =) I highly recommend going.
Historic and great prairie vistas
This park features a number of natural trails where you could hike in the sea of grass. I saw a dozen of bison from a distance. The heavy thunderstorm prohibits me from getting a little closer. But overall speaking it was nice experience to visit this grassland in the heart of Kansas.
